teach me to animate ;____;

I’m not actually very good at it though. D^:

Now, I’m not sure if you’re being rhetorical, but in any case I’m sure this all might at least be helpful to someone out there.
I can link you to some stuff that’s been very helpful for me though:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/58374766/Drawing-Richard-Williams-The-Animator-s-Survival-Kit  (great book! it’d be better to buy a hard copy of it)
http://animationresources.org/?p=1929
http://www.michaelspornanimation.com/splog/ (there’s a lot to dig through, but there’s excellent reference material here)

I think the main tricks are just to try and get the timing to follow a rhythm, don’t be lazy with redrawing every frame, use simple characters specially designed to be animatable, and above all don’t let yourself get intimidated!
And if you have any specific questions I’d be happy to help. (◡‿◡✿)

Also, trace stuff! It sounds horrible, but I’m convinced it helped me a lot when I first started and all I did was trace existing animations. This should only be if you have a hard time getting used to the process though… so you gotta be careful.
